DUAL SHOT GX
Advanced CT is making it possible to image faster, with thinner slices and greater range than ever before. It is also reshaping the way contrast material is delivered, prompting radiologists to reexamine everything from delivery rates to contrast volumes to iodine concentrations.

A scan that takes less than 10 seconds leaves little room for error. Imaging at peak contrast enhancement requires not only precise timing but careful tailoring for each patient.

Higher contrast injection rates were among the first changes prompted by multidetector imaging. Delivery rates, volume, iodine concentration, and timing all require careful consideration as imagers adapt to faster scanners

Following the introduction of four-slice scanners, injection rates for routine body examinations increased to 2.5 to 3 mL/sec, from a starting point of about 1 to 1.5 mL/sec. These data reflect a major change in priorities, from prolonging contrast administration with conventional CT to delivering contrast fast enough to achieve peak enhancement during rapid image acquisition.

The conventional injectors are unable to meet the requirements of MDCT. Now, Nemoto succeeded to create an epoch-making injection method to go with MDCT in order to realize optimal imaging technique which is suitable for each examination purpose, body area and patient.

The world’s first Dual Shot GX injector with Synchronous flow and unique compact flash card meets the requirements of MDCT.

Dual Shot GX features saline flush capability to reduce artifacts from the venous system and maximize contrast utilization. Enables the user to test vein access with saline, also priming of patient tubing with saline saves contrast.

Dual Shot GX with Synchronous Flow option is much more than a saline flush after a contrast bolus. Now you can inject both contrast and saline at the same time. The secret is the simultaneous injection capability of the Synchronous Flow option. Synchronous Flow allows variable ratios of plunger motion from the contrast and saline syringes simultaneously. With the appropriate ratio, left and right heart ventricles can be illuminated uniformly for improved image quality.

Unique benefits for Dual Shot GX :
